Pop’s Lake House Burger

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
3 tablespoons tamari soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
butter, to taste
4 buns
favorite burger toppings, optional, for serving

Directions

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Add the beef, soy sauce, salt, ground pepper, and lemon juice to a bowl.

Mix well until the soy sauce and lemon juice have soaked into the meat.

Form the meat into 4 patties and season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.

Grill the burgers on both sides until they are cooked to your desired doneness.

Butter the insides of the buns and lightly toast them just before you are ready to serve the burgers.

Assemble the burgers on the toasted buns with your desired toppings and serve hot!
