Marinated Pork Shish Kabob on the Grill
Ingredients
1 pound pork
5 – 6 red peppers
5 small onions
FOR THE MARINADE:
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1 large onion
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon savory
Directions
Prepare 10 wooden skewers. To make the marinade: In a bowl, pour the soy sauce, water, a savory, black pepper, paprika, sugar and the juice of an onion head (grate or grind the onion and squeeze out the juice) and stir.
Cut the meat into bites and put them in the marinade, leave them to sit for at least 2 hours. Once the meat has marinated, clean the peppers, cut them into pieces and put them in with the meat.
Cut the onions also, halve the heads and put them in with the meat, stir and stick them on the skewers.
Arrange in the following order: meat, pepper, onion piece. Cook on a heated grill (not too high), while turning the skewers over to cook on all sides.
